Chamomile: a Mother's herbal ally!

For the Breastfeeding Mama:

Sip chamomile tea (I like it with a dollop of raw honey!) Its calming, antispasmodic properties can support both your nervous system and through your milk, soothe little one’s tummy to reduce wind and colic-y symptoms.

Post-Belly Birth Support:

Chamomile tea helps soothe the gut and release wind after surgery.

For Anxiety + Overwhelm:

The simple ritual of making and sipping on a chamomile tea can support you in anxious times and those wired-but-tired moments. Nervine herbs like chamomile gently guide the body back to rest.

Skin-Healing Goodness:

Infuse dried chamomile flowers in a carrier oil like grapeseed or coconut oil and apply to any dry or irritated skin. Think: nappy rash, flaky newborn skin etc.

Calming Topical Use:

For babies 6 months and older, you can dilute chamomile essential oil in a carrier oil (grapeseed works well) and apply a tiny amount to their upper back. This can help relax them before sleep or calm them during fractious periods. You can also dab a tiny amount either side of the jaw line to soothe teething pain.

Patch test first and consult your care provider if unsure. Chamomile is gentle, but every little body is unique.
